- He was stationed at Chatham. He was torpedoed in the First World War, and he only had one lung due to being gassed.
He was said to have been in Ireland when his mother died, and had to be called back.
He served under Earl Jellicoe and Earl Mountbatten. He is said to have had a row with Earl Mountbatten and he wouldn't accept a medal he was awarded.
